Artist's Profile

Having lived in the Huron area my entire life, I have been blessed with a myriad of subjects for inspiration. Whether it is the cardinal on a snowy branch in winter, spring blooms, Lake scenes in the summer or the beauty of a deer on the edge of the woods in autumn, I am always amazed and moved by the beauty of my surroundings. Because of this, I have been creating in one way or another since I was old enough to hold a crayon, paintbrush or musical instrument.

When I was maybe twelve or thirteen years old I attended a group art workshop for children my age. The local artist Gay Felton taught the lessons at her "Art Barn". She inspired me greatly and taught me many of the essential fundamentals of art. Later I took one art class in college while on my way to a degree in computer art and animation. That class reestablished some basics and also expanded my horizons a bit. I enjoy painting or sketching as much as possible, wherever and whenever I can! Hopefully, through much practice and repetition, I will someday come close to pleasing that perfectionist side of mine!

My wish is to capture the very things that move me in a way that offers others a view of the world they may not otherwise have seen.
