The landscape can be observed from many viewpoints and many locations. This tiny landscape of Lake Emerson and the adjacent hill can be seen through the cracked opening between the barn doors, from a window in the rear of the barn.

There is a mysterious quality of secrecy which dominates the scene as photographed this way...almost as if the viewer is intruding on a secret place.
