I planned to prepare some fresh wild salmon for dinner this evening and must have been thinking of that when I sat down to paint this watercolor. My original intent was to depict the movement of salmon eggs in a stream in an abstract way. However, when I completed the painting and emailed a digital photo of it to a friend of mine, she commented, "Feeling a little frisky are we...? ;-)" What can I say? The title of a painting may sometimes lead people down a different path than that which the artist actually intended. This piece measures 14" X 10" and was rendered on 140 lb. cold press Kilimanjaro paper. The colors are very true to the original painting.
