This third painting in my Pop Art "Anxiety" series, depicts a woman nervously waiting for someone who should have arrived a long time ago. She is pulling back the curtain to peer out into the night, but alas sees no sign of him. I did not include a "speech bubble" on this piece (as I usually do), because of the tightness of the composition and the fear that it would distract the viewer from the feeling of the moment. The painting measures 20" X 16" and is rendered in acrylic on a gallery wrapped canvas which is painted black on the outside edges. There is a slight color discrepancy between this digital photo and the original, as the colors are much more vivid in the original and her hair is more "yellow".
