Jazz meca, New Orleans' Preservation Hall . . . layer's of aging paint . . . years of musical history. This old building has kept the sounds of pure jazz going throught the years. This original oil, measuring a large 36" X 24", is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas which can be hung unframed. (The sides of the canvas are also painted, and a picture wire kit is included.) This is an original work, and Diane's certificate of authenticity will be enclosed.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT: As a painter of street scenes, I am drawn to the French Quarter, because the old walls, which are cracked and scarred, give us a glimpse into the past.
