Crooked Village
Crooked Village is a scattered array of stone cottages lining a crooked lane which branches of from the high road on the east. The village is known for its beauty, but nothing very exciting ever really happens here, and the village remains much as it has been throughout its existence. Most folks refer to it as the "sleepy" village because it's always the "same old, same old" as they say.
No matter what time of year you visit, a trip to the Crooked Village yields a pleasant experience with friendly local people & natural beauty. The village maintains an open air sort of feeling, and a cool breeze normally blows in from the east. Once you get there, getting around is relatively easy by foot along the sandy lanes and footpaths, and there's always someone to chat with.
Today it looks like everyone's at home because all the chimney's are smoking. Some would say it's a dull existance, but others would argue that it's the most peaceful village in the world... I'll let you decide. :)
This painting is on wood and I have signed it on the bottom right hand side. The painting continues onto the sides which I show here in the pictures. I show several pics here including a closeup for detail and how it might look with furniture in a home environment.
There is a hanger on the back, so there's no need for expensive framing. It has been varnished for protection and enhancement of color.
