Stained Glass Painted Wine Decanter Set (Topper & 2 glasses included)

This wine decanter set features truly stunning, jaw-dropping gem-like colors in jewel tones that have a beautiful translucency to them.

The wine decanter itself, has a very interesting and elegant shape, flared at the bottom, and narrowing in the center toward the top which is very slightly flared out. It measures approx. 16Hx4.5W" (including the topper, which stands approx. 3" above the actual decanter, so the decanter without the topper measures approx. 13" H). Please note that I did leave the topper clear, just because I wanted to show the clear sparkle of it against the contrast of colors.

The 2 matching wine glasses are the size of a large wine glass; (approx. 7"Hx3.5"W) each.

The absract design here is SO colorful and looks quite different from differing angles, which I try to show as much as possible in the photos here, but it's nearly impossible to capture all the beauty of the colors in photos.

Some of the colors I used in this set are: Ruby Red, Orange Poppy, Bright Yellow, Slate Blue, Amethyst, Green, Berry Red, Turquoise, White, and Sparkling Gold in some areas.

When the sunlight shines through the colors they cast gorgeous shadows onto the surface that they are placed upon.

The sunlight really animates the colors and makes them sparkle and glow with vibrancy...these colors really come alive in the sun!

The technique I use to create these is this:

First, I lay down the black "liquid leading" outlines. Then after those are dry (overnight), I apply the colors to each individual section, meticulously with a toothpick(!), using it to blend and spread the colors all the way to the edges of the black outlines, making sure to pop any bubbles that I can see that occur along the way. Then, when I am satisfied with all the color it is left to "cure" or dry for about a week.

I have signed the decanter on the bottom, but didn't sign any of the wine glasses as I decided that it would take away from the artwork.
