Last month I took a vacation and traveled to the Oregon coast for a week of painting on Location. The weather was incredible with blue skies and sunny days people flocked to the beach. I captured many of these treasured moments painting quickly to get the feel of the scene. Unlike painting in the studio, Painting in Plein Air (on location you take your paints, canvas or papers and paint what you see in front of you)... you must capture the atmospher in your strokes of color with the colors changing throughout the day it can be a challenge to say the least! Add moving subjects and I was thrilled with the challenge and thrilled with the results. It was an amazing learning adventure for me.
