New painting from my landscape series of southern Colorado and the San Luis Valley In the foothills of the San Juan mountains near the tiny town of La Garita, Colorado is the National Forest Service road leading into the San Juan National Forest. The road meandering up to the Storm King campground has several working ranches and farm homes....this is an impressionist, stylized view of just one those places. The San Juan Mountains are on the western side of Colorado's San Luis Valley...The beautiful place my Mother's family calls home.
