I did a series of designs several years ago while working for a design firm...one of the assignments was th emotional impact of imagery. I fiddled with some nightmarish faces that seem to come out of the ceiling and came up with an appropriate image. Turns out that every one thought it was a cool Mardis Gras interpretation and the image was used for that instead. This painting is just one of several that were looked at as merely a fun mask rather than a nightmare. May be a lesson there somewhere....My nightmares masquerading as Mardi Gras masks...or one person's terror is another person's fun? Who knows....
