Welcome!

My name is Chris Kapono and I am from the beautiful state of Missouri. I have been drawing and painting ever since I can remember and art has been a big part of my life. My love of animals and nature is reflected in my art and sometimes interesting things I find on walks in the woods will find their way into some of my pieces! 

I discovered ACEO (Artist Cards Editions and Originals) and began buying them from artists all over the world. I had always wanted to collect other artist's work and ACEOs were within my budget. I was spending so much money on them that I  decided to try selling some of my own (mainly to support my new habit). 

At a fellow artist's recommendation, I joined Etsy and opened up a shop under the name MandainMoon. My first sale was so exciting! I sold quite a few over the years and I can proudly say that my art is collected all over the world. My favorite mediums are acrylic, watercolor, ink and Prismacolor pencils.

In 2008, I discovered polymer clay and fell in love with it. I rarely paint or draw anymore but focus on creating mosaics, jewelry, ornaments, covered journals, decorated boxes, ACEO and more from this versatile clay.
