I call this photo "The Gold Bug" but it is really a Japanese beetle. They'd be pretty if they weren't so destructive.

This was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera set on macro. We here in Michigan for the last couple of years have been experiencing the perfect blend of outdoor photographer's light, low massive cloud cover yet diffuse bright sunlight filtering through.
