This rather large hibiscus is one of many planted by the previous owner of our house. While I don't know its proper name, she referred to it as a "plate hibiscus" which certainly makes sense since this thing is bigger than my head! I can't say that I like these flowers much, but they do look rather pretty with my purple balloon flowers after the rain, don't they?
