I chose to Rip Richard Holland's photograph, 'Where's the Bee?' not only for it's beauty but the question it asks. Where are the bees? Bees are on the decline. It's a scary fact. Of course, we know who's responsible...humans.

My painting is a dreamlike vision of the last bee leaving, and a hope that it will come back.
