Art: Cassidy's Daydream by Artist Amanda Makepeace

My brother has the sweetest dog in the world. But my cat, Shadow (sometimes known as Attack Cat), thinks otherwise. She's convinced Cassidy is a danger to the home. For the Dog & Cat show I thought it would be cute to show Cassidy's daydream of being friends with Shadow.

This began as an ordinary photograph I took of Cassidy and our other cat, Hunter. They were friends before Shadow convinced Hunter that Cassidy was the enemy. I took this photo and began painting over parts of the background, outlining the pets, re-painting them -- especially Hunter to transform him into Shadow. All of the work was done in Photoshop.

I think Cassidy would approve.
