I have recently begun to explore texture and depth in my work and 'Magma' is a piece of which I am very proud. The surface is richly textured with areas of ground pumice mixed with heavy acrylics. Dark areas of shadow provide a sense of depth and the whole work is deeply hypnotic. This is a definite conversation starter in any room.
