It is finished. And it was, no more needed, nothing required, finished period.  As Christians we are often caught up in the coulda, shouda,woulda when the question of salvation comes up.  Some even go so far as to set up neat, concise little step by step formulas.  We run around trying to "win" people to Christ. We offer to say the sinners prayer even before anyone asks. We live our lives in such a way that we try to counter-balance all of our bad deeds with good one.  Yet all of this is sowing in the wind, it wins us no favor, no metals, notta.  I think that when Christ said it is finished it was, the only thing we can add is our love and thankfulness. Before I attempt to ever walk that line again, I will start at the beginning and throw myself on his mercy.  Everything else is just gravy.
