This piece is from the earth series. It is painted impasto style using knife. In certain area dry brush technique is used to create the smoothness of the cloud. The subject of this piece is inspired by my recent trip to Grand Canyon. I took many photographs of the Grand Canyon. But this piece is produced from my perception abstractly. The earth series is a series of work that emphasizes on space, nature and the wild. It also portrays my surroundings, adventures and experiences. A little about me: I am a self representing artist. My main medium is acrylic on canvas or linen. Acrylic gives me the flexibility and creativity that I need. Various techniques and effects could be created using acrylics alone or mixing with other medium. I like to experiment and my strength is my creativity. Hence, acrylic is naturally my favorite media. I love nature and wilderness, and therefore, most of my work are surrounding that subjects or topics.
