There is also a clear separation between the sky and the ground area in this piece to bring attention to the wide space in order to give a sense of freedom and enjoyment of the wild. This painting was painted with knife and thick acrylic paints with layering techniques. This piece is inspired by the view of my front yard. The deliberate cadmium red hue wild flowers is to balance the painting from focusing too much on the sky to create a balanced composition to the viewer. A little about me: I am a self representing artist. My main medium is acrylic on canvas or linen. Acrylic gives me the flexibility and creativity that I need. Various techniques and effects could be created using acrylics alone or mixing with other medium. I like to experiment and my strength is my creativity. Hence, acrylic is naturally my favorite media. I love nature and wilderness, and therefore, most of my work are surrounding that subjects or topics.
