I wanted to create a painting that radiated peacefulness. I'm at peace at night when my cat is all cuddled up next to me sleeping. I'm also a huge fan of Gustav Klimt's paintings. The women in his paintings a lot of times had their eyes closed and lots of little details around them. I tried to give this painting a similar feel and paid a lot of attention to detail. It was painted with acrylics. I can't part with this painting!
