Art: Higher Hill Cottages by Artist David Pott

Late May and early June are my favourite times of year for painting - the colours fresh, the leaves are newly opened and everything has a 'new beginning' feel about it. When looking for a new subject I like to get to a high vantage point, and enjoy painting the contrast between the rich greens and reds of the foregound, and the distant, etheral blues of the far distance.
