This week's theme: Violets

Where I'm from, this is the time of year that violets begin to appear. I always look forward to seeing the first one, and as violets are also one of my favorite flowers, they are this week's theme.

Johnny jump-ups have been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. I planted the seed and watched them pop up like minature delicate pansies. The ones I always planted were the purple multi-colored that I have painted here. Enjoy!
