Horned Lizard in the Southwestern USA

- by Sandy Farley

This week's theme: Random Encounters

Last week EBSQ's Art of the Day's theme was really no theme at all. It was just a variety of different art that was worth seeing. This week, we are doing it again. We hope you enjoy this week's selections.

Art: Horned Lizard in the Southwestern USA by Artist Sandy Farley
Horned Lizards, also known as "horny toads", are fast disappearing from the Southwestern USA. We saw them fairly frequently when we were children, but now they've acheived protected status in several states as their habitat and food slowly erodes. Truly a dinosaur in miniature, it's a beautiful animal and I hope we don't lose these little treasures to our own misuse of land and pesticides.
