Outback Bush Hut

- by Bev Morrice

This week's theme: Corona, Remember, Masquerade, Blob, Separate, Bush and First

The Oxford American Dictionary, Copyright 1980 - seven times it was opened and closed and seven times a word from the top of the page was jotted down. A search of the EBSQ Galleries using these words turned up these seven pieces of art.

Art: Outback Bush Hut by Artist Bev Morrice
A typical Australian Outback Bush Hut is surrounded by the endless red dirt. Nestled at the bottom of a mountain range the lone country wooden hut has a galvanised roof showing the first signs of rusting. In the distance you can see where the owner uses the old stump to cut his timber used for perhaps a wooden stove inside. These huts were generally a one room building consisting of the basics - kitchen, dining and a bed.
