Art: Portofino Sailing by Artist Rossi Kelton
This is a first attempt to paint on Plexiglass. This is an experimental painting with acrylics. I could not work with oil paintings because they react with Plexiglass. It is a scene in Portofino, Italy with all the boats on the bay surrounded by beautiful architectural designs. All the buildings are painted in different colors and they are very colorful. This representation is very thin (0.125 inches of thickness). I also worked with Acrylic gels to provide different effects on the buildings. I also experimented with iridescent acrylic colors on the buildings and the water. Depending on the light reflected on the painting, some of the colors may change due to the effect of iridescence. This was a learning experience which I plan to continue to improve.
