Yosemite Mist

- by Toni M Chiapelli

This week's theme: Cliffs and Canyons

Tall and steep, cliffs and canyons fill us with wonder and awe and remind us, that in the big picture that is our Earth, we are quite small.

Art: Yosemite Mist by Artist Toni M Chiapelli
Here in Yosemite National Park, a few lone trees stand delicately in the foreground of a snow-covered meadow. In the center, a dark row of trees stand starkly against a beautifully textured mountainside.

"I love the transition and flow from this beautifully soft and peaceful wonderland below to the hard, rocky and mighty strength of the solid edifice above. Such a contradiction in the visuals, but really such a way of setting off the innate natural beauty of both. An interesting disparate physical image (but a very enjoyable one, nevertheless) is the reversal of roles of mass and lightness. The massive and heavy image above is supported from beneath by the fluffy light mistiness from below." ~ Keith Holznagel

This is a published, limited edition photograph with a rustic natural wood frame. Current numbering is 1/150. It is a beautiful example of landscape photography and a valuable addition to any collection. Direct inquiries to chatnoir16@email.com.
