"The Mouse Takes The Cheese"

- by Sherry Key

This week's theme: Cat and Mouse

The cat and the mouse. Two of the most recognized animals in human culture. Both have been popular subjects for similes, sayings and allegories for over a thousand years. They are found in stories and fables from ancient cultures to pop culture. Individually they are deeply rooted in our planet's cultures, but together they are an iconic pairing that seems as old as time.

Art: The Mouse Takes The Cheese by Artist Sherry Key
Inspiration: "Hi, ho, the dairy-o, the mouse takes the cheese." You can tell he really wants that cheese bad, the way he's stretching to get it. Mouse and cheese both made out of polymer clay with acrylic stains. He sure is cute and fun to look at.
