Imagined self portrait painted spontaneously without reference.  I found the imagery developed referring to the film Donnie Darko, which I had recently watched before starting this piece, so I let it evolve in that direction.  I had not used acrylic media in quite some time and was looking for an outlet to test the media again.  A zombie themed show held at University of Virginia's College at Wise prompted me to work with this theme.  I worked with a damaged piece of illustration board which was slashed in several places from use under a matt cutter.
