The mother Goddess has been reveared throughout history, taking on numerous forms from religion to religion. Anahita is but one form. Of Summerian origin, Anahita is though to be the very manifestation of perfection in the female entity. Anahita was thought to be the fertility goddess and patroness of women among other things. I wanted not to portray the Goddess herself, I wanted her ideals displayed through her "sisters" essentially all women. The women are individuals, yet reflect unity. This piece celebrates the many aspects of the mother goddess and the perfection inherited in every woman. SOLD
