ves·sel n.
A hollow utensil, such as a cup, vase, or pitcher, used as a container.
A simple concept that fills a great need. Used to store, transport, display and serve. Their first use is lost in the mist of prehistory yet they are as important to daily life now as then.
For this show, create some sort of vessel. How and from what media is up to you. As the piece does not have to be functional, the possibilities are endless. The work must be an actual container - no paintings, drawings or any other two-dimensional representations will be accepted. Also, be sure to take the time to tell something about your vessel. The reasons for the choices you make in materials, form, etc. are important and should be included.
