This piece is intended to poke fun at the obsession with celebrity worship. I believe as a nation we are far to engrossed with the break-up of Brad and Jen and love affair with Ashton and Demi. If the Beatles were more popular than Jesus, then I suspect Brittany can be said to have edged out Mary. Celebrities should not be the deciding factor in our opinions between pro-life or pro-choice, right or left, wheat or white. I do not intend to offend my Catholic friends, but rather illustrate how ridiculous it is to worship Brittany. This is a digitally altered painting I did using Photoshop.
