When looking at Dans sculpture the thought passed through my mind of how talented he is. I was thinking how wonderful it would have been if he had chosen to sculpt a piece in tribute to all the homeless children in the world. A piece that might move more people to do something to help the more than 150 million children who are either homeless, living on the streets ,or existing in orphanages today. So I decided to draw a picture in rememberance of these children. You know Dan the ones without the $17,000 pacifiers. The ones that don't have a mother or father to hold them, or love them,or provide for them. You know Dan, children left to fend for themselves, and sometimes their younger siblings. My drawing depicts a young boy and his infant brother Alberto. Alberto calls his older brother Little Daddy-O. Little Daddy-O has taken on the role of a parent to Alberto. A tear rolls down the cheek of Little Daddy-O as he struggles to provide for the needs of his infant brother, and himself. The infant Alberto clings to him , and whimpers "Oh LIttle Daddy-O hold me so tight ,sing me a sweet lullaby , momma done left us, I'm cold and I'm hungry ,but I'll try not to cry" My Drawing was done on Artists acid free paper with soft pastel chalks and artist pencils. I also included three examples of image manipulations that you can do in Paint Shop Pro. I used the artist effect tool to create some interesting variations to my drawing. I think each effect brings out slightly different emotions, surrounding Little Daddy-O.
