In this painting of my daughter, Tamara, I tried to capture the joy and curiosity she showed, as she explored the world around her. Living as we did then, in the desert of Saudi Arabia, this was the first time she had seen the pink geraniums in all their glory, at her Grandma’s house in Greece. She giggled and chatted with delight, oblivious to everyone except her ever-present, beloved ‘Mousie’ (on her arm). One of the more beautiful aspects of becoming a parent is the opportunity to be able to share in the joy of discovery, especially in the wonders of nature, all over again!
