I think we all must know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. As a cure grows closer and closer I couldn't miss the opportunity to participate in this wonderful EBSQ show and contribute to the cause. I chose "Pink Butterfly Maiden" as my entry not only because of the monochromatic pink color scheme, but also because of the butterflies. I really feel that a cure is not far away and the butterflies as a symbol of renewed life and hope make this the perfect of my paintings to be a part of this show. I hope that my piece will give the viewer a sense of hope, serenity and beauty while paying tribute to all who have worked so hard and to those who continue to work for a cure.
