This piece was created specifically for the EBSQ Plus Steinbeck show. I decided to go with something of a light theme for this and took reference from John Steinbeck's book "Travels with Charley". When Steinbeck turned 58, he decided to go on a road trip and explore America, and took along his French poodle Charley. One particular passage resonated with me as a dog owner....."I curled up behind the table and slept a little while until in the dim false dawn Charley looked into my face and said "Ftt." " Now, what dog owner hasn't, in the early morning hours, woken up to find a large dog face filling their vision??
