One of the most beautiful sculptures ever created is the human body. Each individual part has unique curves and shapes.
When I started this piece, I had just had an indepth discussion with my co-workers about the Venus of Willendorf. I had to explain why I had her tattooed on my back. This inspired me to take another look at the human body.
I looked at various bodies, both real and surreal, whole and in parts. Once started, I allowed the composition to grow to an eclectic universe of human forms. I truly enjoy studying the human body in abstract ways. In that manner, we stop focusing on preconceived notions of beauty and recognize the artistry of the human form.
