I love Egypt and anything Egyptian, when I was younger I have read "Cleopatra" written by Haggard and Egypt has captured my artistic imagination ever since. The actual statue of Sphynx is not my favorite actually, first of all because Napoleon and his troops shot half the face of it (damn them :) and second of all I thought it doesnt give justice to the legend of the Sphynx. BUT! Because of all of the above the statue in fact inspired me to creat sphynx in the way if she was to walk the earth in flesh and blood as she is supposed to according to the legend. So here i come up with a lucious resting sphynx - the head of the woman and the body of the lion - who has the smile that historian pondered over for centuries ...
