My daughter loves rubber ducks.  When we saw that EBSQ was having a rubber duck themed show, she wanted to help me create a painting to enter.  She brought two of her ducks from the bath toy box into the studio to use as models and made two tempera paintings for me to use as reference.  She wanted the ducks to be floating in water with bubble bath and tub colors (tablets you can add to the bath to tint the water).

She also helped to block in some of the local color for the painting and told me what direction she wanted the lighting coming from on the final canvas.  This was a fun collaborative experience for both of us.
