Polystyrene is better known by its trade name stryrofoam. My art is made out of the stuff they use for packaging around TVs, electronics, etc. The best thing about using styrofoan in art is that it keeps it out of landfills. Cutting and assemble is what give this piece its shapes. A lot of the pieces seem to hang in space adding interest. It stands out from the wall 8 inches at the thickest part.
