Art: Portrait Swap: Sara by Artist Brooke Elizabeth
Before I took this project on I wanted to get to know Sara a bit to know what kind of elements I should add in. She told me she liked to belly dance and loved the full moon so I added it in! I looked up all kinds of belly dancing outfits online before actually attempting to paint one for Sara and I eventually took a combination of the many different ones that I saw to make her dress and top. I decided to go with the more long and flowing dress as I thought it more elegant. Sara also told me she was from Chile and I didn't want to confuse her ethnicity so I went with a more conservative belly dancing outfit and accesories.

I wanted to stick to my style of art by making her head and facial features disproportionate so I basically kept her nose and eyes in tact while making her mouth signifigantly smaller to make a more angular facial structure. She has very interesting hazel eyes and I felt it important to keep them as CLOSE to her real eye shape as possible while still maintaining the over exageration. Eyes are the focal point of a face and my favorite area to work on so I put extra work into them. Sara told me she also dislikes crowded places so I made the feel of this piece more solitary in a content sort of way.
