For the EBSQ 2005 Portrait show, my portrait of Diana Mae Potts. She and I share a love of asian style, and I decided that chinese brushwork was the way to go on this piece! She holds a cup of her favorite tea under a peaceful bamboo grove, watching one of her favorite birds and the subject of many of her drawings, a golden pheasant. The chinese calligraphy is her name, the seal lower left means "In everything there is Tao", and the seal upper right means "The teapot is never dry".
