This was painted on a beautiful sunday morning with the surf crashing on the nirth shore of the Island of Kauai, this is a famous surf break. I had to get there really early in order to get a place to set up as the surfers park up the area, this spot is on the edge of the road with high mountains behind and the land falling away into the water. Painting here is a challange with the wind and the spray coming off the surf. I am painting out of the back of my Jeep.
