It's 2010 and that means it's time for the EBSQ Plein Air show. Every other year we invite you to gather your art supplies and head out to the great outdoors. Find the perfect spot and use your pencils and paints to reproduce what you see before you. This year there is once again a twist to the Plein Air show. We have narrowed the focus to one subject - architecture. You can choose a building, a bridge – any manmade structure or portion of a structure is acceptable.
This is a strict Plein Air show. All entries must have been executed on the spot and from life. Pieces created by working from a photograph are ineligible. Due to the on-site and immediate nature of all photographs, photographic work is not eligible for this show. If your entry depicts only a part of your subject, please make sure that it is a sizable enough portion to be recognizable as part of a structure.
**Please include the date(s) and location where the work was executed!**
We strongly recommend all artists include in their statement information about why and how they chose to create their piece, as statements can enhance the experience for the online viewer. We also encourage you to include detail shots of your entries. This will allow the viewer to fully appreciate your work as small details can be lost in an online environment.
Eligible entries must meet all points of the prospectus. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
