This is a portrait of Lisa, a dog that brightened the lives of Vicky Knowles and her family. She passed away 4 years ago of kidney failure...she was 12 years old. What struck me about Lisa was that she looked like such a smart, strong dog....full of mischief like a fox. Vicky told me she had a heart of gold though...and was especially fond of kittens and children. It was an honor for me to paint her. What a beautiful dog she was.
