Most Eastern Philosophies emphasize the importance of Transcendence and Impermanence-

Power, Fame, Wealth and even Relationships, are common avenues people seek to fulfill a fundamental emptiness they feel within, only to be disappointed over and over again as happiness derived from externalities never last. It is as if they are caught in the curcular wheel of Samsara, that spins round and round over time, even lifetimes.

 Only when we are truly tired of the cyclical nature of these externalities due to their Impermanence, can we  transcend the hypnotic seduction of Power, Fame and Wealth. When we realize and profoundly grasp the true meaning of Impermanence, and start to seek from Within, we begin living Mindfully and Consciously, transcending these social addictions.
