Lamya is my latest addition to my growing series of animal hybrids. It is believed that lemurs and humans share a common ancestor that lived some 50 million years ago. There are 9 species of Lemurs and all are on the endangered species list- Some are already gone forever, extinct. Loss of habitat, due to destruction on our part threatens the few lemur species that remain. Lamya is a ring-tailed lemur native to the island of Madagascar .
