When Lauren Cole Abrams asked me to pair up with her for the Ripped Off show in July, I was thrilled. Lauren’s still life paintings are amazing, and I couldn’t wait to take a crack at ripping off her work.

I really enjoy Lauren’s toy paintings, particularly the ones that create a visual narrative and have clever titles, so I decided to take a few of her toys and place them together to create my own story. I didn’t get it finished in time for the show, so here it is, better late than never.
