This painting was done for the flower of the month, POPPIES. I first thought about painting a poppie coming out of a box, which soon turned into a skull since the vets use them to represent all those who have died in wars. But after I was done with it , it took on another meaning. Heroin comes from these beautiful flowers but creates nothing but death. So I call this overdose. It has a lot of meaning to me, because my brother died from a heroin overdose. SOLD
