This is a Ripped Off piece I made for the 2005 "Ripped Off" show using Rob Robie's work "The Peacock and the Crane" from Aesop's Fables as reference. Working with Rob's image gave me the opportunity to work with intense jewel-like colors. This canvas was folded into an origami crane and dyed, then it was re folded into a peacock model and over dyed. The dyes were used as underpainting for the oil painting.
