I tried to capture the fire and passion of the Paso Fino on this pyrograph
This was my first large piece and after about five minutes of using a tiny burning pen for the background I switched to a propane torch! Some of the highlights in his mane are reverse burned, meaning I burned thae area and then scratched off he color like in a scratchboard. His buckskin color was acheived using light washs of Japan Colors. and lighter highlights were oil pastel. All in all, he was one of my longest burns, but so much fun to do!
